The Aperol Spritz, a classic Italian summer cocktail. If Iām being honest, the first Aperol Spritz I experienced was not my favorite thing in the world. However, after being made in proper proportions and enjoyed amongst the mountains of Italy, my fondness for this drink grew immensely. Each year I have the pleasure of going to Italy to photograph at La Fortezza, a 12th century Tuscan fortress. There, Annette Joseph hosts guests from all over the world to indulge in creative workshops, local food and yes - Aperol Spritz.
The proportions are as easy as 3-2-1, literally.
3 parts Prosecco
2 parts Aperol
1 part soda water
1 orange slice
Mix the ingredients in a glass and add ice. Serve with an orange slice, I prefer mine squeezed and submerged.
Cin cin!
